How Terminal Emulation Works
BlueZone Web-to-Host is a simple two-tier terminal emulation solution. First the end user browses to the Web page that contains a link that downloads a pre-configured terminal emulator. Once the emulator is downloaded from the Web server (a one-time only action), a secure Telnet session is established directly with the host, taking the Web server out of the equation altogether.
Simple Terminal Emulator Installation
- User clicks the BlueZone download hyperlink in their browser window.
- The BlueZone ActiveX control or Java applet downloads and installs in the user's browser.
- The downloaded BlueZone "control" automatically launches a pre-configured secure SSL session to the host.
