How Terminal Emulation Works

BlueZone Web-to-Host is a simple two-tier terminal emulation solution. First the end user browses to the Web page that contains a link that downloads a pre-configured terminal emulator. Once the emulator is downloaded from the Web server (a one-time only action), a secure Telnet session is established directly with the host, taking the Web server out of the equation altogether.

Simple Terminal Emulator Installation

  1. User clicks the BlueZone download hyperlink in their browser window.
  2. The BlueZone ActiveX control or Java applet downloads and installs in the user's browser.
  3. The downloaded BlueZone "control" automatically launches a pre-configured secure SSL session to the host.
